This was one of the downright lousiest hostel experiences I've ever had. On the one hand the staff are reasonably nice, though their main objective seems to be selling you tours or tickets instead of making your stay as comfortable as possible. They are also extremely ineffective and takes a lot of work to get anything done - to the point that I simply switched hotels. To be fair, this is a budget, backpacker class hostel - about $12 a night. By the same token, there are a TON of hostels in Cusco and this was probably one of the worst. To begin with, we were told "Airport Transfer" was included. They neglected to mention that "included" did not mean free and we had to pay for the cab ride. More annoying was that the during the cab ride the woman who met us at the airport tried to sell us tours and tickets. We were supposed to have hot water but that was only available certain times of day - which I couldn't figure out when and they couldn't tell me. The Cable was... more
