I have been traveling to Iquitos for 6 years and discovered this gem of a lodge several years ago and always return as other lodges cannot compare for the friendliness of the staff (you are treated like family), the food (better than any restaurant I have eaten at in Iquitos), and actually being "a part of the jungle" . Animals are frequent, the owner/guide is incredibly knowledgeable having grown up in the area and will go out of his way to make your visit meet your expectations.
The accomadations are perfect for this environment. The individual bungalows have private bathrooms with flush toliets and showers. There is no electricity, but kerosene lanterns add to the ambience amist the jungle sounds.
I have personally brought groups (charity, girl scout, and college) here and never has anyone been disappointed, they can not wait to return.. more
