We spent the final 3 days of our 2 week Peru trip at PSAL and it turned out to be the icing on the cake for us. We had an amazing time at the jungle lodge. The entire 2n/3d trip was handled very professionally by PSAL. The transport connections were all very smooth and comfortable - the airport pickup/drop-off, car... more

We spent a terrific 5 days & 4 nights at Pacaya Samiria, including one night at its remote outpost lodge within the national preserve. Turned out we were the only guests so we had an excellent guide--Oscar--and staff of 4-5 people to ourselves. This is the place to stay (in Iquitos region) if you really want to see wildlife as... more

Our family stayed at the lodge for 5 days and 4 nights. The lodge is very attractive with individual sleeping huts and a central dining and meeting area. The locale was quite beautiful with river views from each sleeping cabin. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially our guide Oscar and our driver Maclander. Oscar ensured that we saw... more

As a professor of Anthropology, I have had the great fortune to take university students to live in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest for several weeks every other year. This year we stayed at the Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge which was a marvelous experience. The lodge itself is fabulous, built by folks in the area using traditional materials in an ecologically... more

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at PSAL with a memorbale excursion into the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, camping in the reserve one night. At night the stars were magical, fireflies gigantic, glow worms twinkling in the water lettuce, and the symphony of insects and frogs was incredible. We saw so much wildlife. The PSAL has comfortable, attractive rooms,... more

When people travel to Peru, they inevitably go to (a) Lima (the natural starting point), (b) Cusco, and (c) Machu Picchu. These are all important / necessary destinations for Peru, but it is such a waste to travel all that way and not get into the Amazon Rainforest. Machu Picchu will take your breath away, but so will the Amazon,... more

The place is incredible, you have an exellent view of the marañon river and the jungle in all the rooms, you are in complete contact with nature all the time, you can watch different animals from your room. It was my first visit to the jungle and I think I took the correct decision comming to this lodge. The resort... more
