This hotel is a decent choice for budget travelers. The rooms are pretty, are nicely painted, and are fairly clean. I stayed in room 6 on the first floor. All of the rooms have windows that face a ventilation shaft, not a street view, which is important in Iquitos because of constant motorcycle and moto-taxi noise from outside. Rooms on the first floor are darker, and rooms on higher floors are brighter. The bathroom was a little too small, but ok. I have 2 complaints about this hotel. First, the walls are thick cement so you can't hear noise from the other rooms, but the doors are so flimsy that you can hear other doors slamming shut and conversations in the hallway very easily. If you are an early riser, no problem, but if you thought yoú'd be able to sleep until 9 or 10, that won't happen. The other thing is the mattresses. They are fairly new, but are constructed with what feels like a piece of plywood inside. It's about 2 inches of padding, the plywood board, 5 inches of springs... more
