There were a few problems at La Posada, but one shouldn't go to this town 30 km east of Lima with high expectations. The bed was the biggest disappointment — hard as a rock. And wireless Internet was less reliable than I had expected. It was the off-season so service during the week was a bit thin due to lack of staff, but the staff who were there were terrific. The girls at reception, in particular, were always friendly and helpful. The outdoor kitchen has several brick oven/barbecues where they produce some great meals. If you have reason to go to Chaclacayo, which I did, La Posada is a good choice. Just check the bed before you get settled in to your room! more
