This basic hotel was fine!! Safes in room, bathroom was clean with hot water and good water pressure. Great location in downtown Lima, although not as trendy as the Miraflores district. Noise was next to none. Comfortable enough for sure without being glamorous! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size. The only fault I can make... more

I stayed here with a tour group. This place is fairly basic, so don't expect too much. There is a safe in the room. Rooms overlooking the street are loud (lots of traffic, although dies down in the night). Rooms at the back look out onto a brick wall or a hallway of another building. Carpet looked dirty. Bathrooms were... more

Just a few bullet points from a recent stay at the Kamana: * The matrimonial room(s) was an acceptable size for a quick-stay; * SECURITY ISSUE: My room's sliding windows to the deck wouldn't lock, so I had to move a desk next to it in order to block the window from opening. True, the room was on the 5th... more

Good location near main plaza. Rooms were a bit dirty and poorly kept. Linens were old and worn, drapes the same. All around the whole room looked pretty seedy. There was a stench of sewer gas emanating from both elevator shafts such that it was nauseating to use or even go near the elevators. The final insult was on our... more

very basic hotel - hot water, mini fridge, ok if you're on a tight budget otherwise spend a bit more to get a cleaner room with nicer staff . the room did not feel very secure as they only had standard locks and walls and doors are thin. more

Since it was part of a tour we didn´t have a choice of where to stay, but for those who do i would look elsewhere. Perhaps it is the overall atmosphere of Lima that makes it worse than what it actually is, but either way there was nothing flash about Kamana. It is situated in a dodgey part of town... more

We stayed only a few hours at this hotel on our way to Cusco. The bed was large but the sheets where kind of thread bare. It felt like staying at a relatives house. It felt kind of dingy and a bit unkept. Breakfast consisted of toast, coffee, and Orange juice. Since we only stayed a few hours I can't... more

This hotel was provided as part of a package by a UK travel agent, and we stayed for one night before our trip to the jungle and one night after. It is a basic 2* hotel, no frills (eg no toiletries) but a very efficient shower, TV and room fan. It is in downtown Lima, with security grilles on the... more

This hotel is very basic. We only stayed here one night, as part of a Tucan tour package. The reception staff spoke good English, but otherwise we were disappointed. The hotel is in a dodgy part of Lima & our room had a view of a concrete wall. The showers were cold & they charge for internet use (which we... more

I booked a room here for an all day layover in Lima. I did not intend to spend the night, but wanted a cheap room near the old city. It was just that. The room was clean, no air conditioning and it was hot. No charm at all in the decor. Staff was polite, but not overly friendly. My friend... more
