Hostel pukara was an inexpensive and reasonable hostel. It was a little walk from the main area of Miraflores but was quiet, clean with good cable tv and the usual bread and jam breakfast. April 2004. The room was spartan, but acceptable. Late at night became noisy as we realized we were next to a courtyard, adjacent to a comon/stting area. Then the worst thing: we were awakened at 6 am by loud door knocking! It turned out someone thought we were part of a large group staying there who had an early morning... more

Arrived a 2 am after flight to Lima. Helpful staff checking in. Room: cramped, no windows . bleccccch. No particular value for the price. Changed next day for a better room. Showers OK. Nice location. Still searching for a better Lima hotel/hostel. more
