This small hotel or if you prefer fancy B&B was got for us by the taxi driver coming from the airport. A number of places were called on route as my friend wanted to stay in Miraflores rather than in centre which I wanted for museums, gallery, history etc. Anyway my friend won that debate. So we needed a place.... more

I stayed at this hotel at the start and end of my trip to Peru. After 11+ hours of traveling I wasn't sure what to expect behind the iron gate. I found an extremely helpful staff who were always willing to help me with my quesitons (and I had many). My room which was originally going to be for one... more

If you're not ultra selective and want a simple hotel to stay in Lima, than this is your place. It's one of those of those layover stay places....a basic hotel that will fulfill most of your needs before jumping on a plane to Cusco. Nice hotel, perhaps in need of a slight makeover. Service was a little slow, but at... more

Don't be fooled by the web pictures shown on Expedia, etc. regarding El Ducado, Lima Peru. Yes there is a very sweet patio (prominently shown on hotel sites). Again it all depends what you are looking for. Pros: location, location. It is located in Miraflores which has great safe night walking about 2 minutes in any location to the Pacific... more

Little did we know that this hotel is located on one of only two streets in all of Miraflores that connect directly to the beach. If you're a surfer, you will definitely want to stay here. If you are not a surfer, you will want to stay here anyway. The first night we stayed in the rear building on the... more

Stayed there on night. Arrived at 4:30 in the morning and they let us check in and sleep for a while. The hotel is a few blocks from Larcomar and the ocean so it's in a great location. Fun neighborhood and very safe. Breakfast was godd and the staff was extremely helpful. I'd go back. more

We stayed at this hotel after traveling for 3 weeks around Peru. The room was nice with comforable beds and a good sized bathroom. The beds were made up each day and the staff were very plesent. The dining room was very nice with a patio that overlooked the small court yard. Breakfast was included in the price of the... more

This property is just about 4 blocks away from Larco Mar, the main attraction in Lima. The staff was great, pleasant ans spoke good english. Also, an added touch was that they provide car service from the airport upon arrival for free. This is about a $15.00 savings and a stress reliever upon arrival. Breakfast was good, coffee & biscuits... more

Travel agent could not book us back into Leon de Oro on our return to Lima, so put us at Ducado instead. We paid for 2 nights so we would have a place to relax before catching a 1:30 AM flight back to the States. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Returned to hotel about 3PM after a city tour and... more
