I stayed at the Camino del Inca Apart Hotel for a week: I was attending a meeting at the nearby Universidad Ricardo Palma and the organisers suggested it. From the moment I emailed them, their service was excellent. The hotel is in a surburban area, on quite a busy road. It is about a ten-fifteen minute (8-10 soles) taxi ride to Miraflores. All the rooms are really small suites, with a kitchen and living room area, ideal for a little self-catering. An adequate breakfast is included, in your room if you want, as is a good internet connection (not wireless but they supply cables) and local phone calls. The rooms are fine and clean. There is no restuarant, but a number are within very close walking distance. The staff are very friendly and most speak English. My only complaint is the noise; the windows kept none of the street noise out, so do ask for a room at the back. It won't be exactly quiet, but sleeping will be easier.
