We stayed here 1 night btw our 2 days at Macchu Pichu. The room was nice and spacious, clean and the bathroom was also nice and clean. I got food poisoning that night so I didn't eat the breakfast buffet the following morning but my wife said it was pretty good. They also include a dinner buffet with the proce... more

Firstly this hotel is an excellent place to stay for your Machu Picchu visit as the title says suggests its about a 5 minute walk to the bus and the train. The service was very good, the hotel even organises the collection and delivery of your bags from the railway station. Reception were great, very helpful with any enquiry and... more

For most people Aguas Calientes is simply a jumping point on to Machu Picchu, and as such hotels are used to having guests only stay 1 night at a time. Hatuchay Tower is conveniently located 8 minutes down the hill from the train station and 5 minutes away from the bus stop to Machu Picchu. Our room faced the river... more

We upgraded to this hotel when we travelled with Llama Travel and it was so worth it. After a hard, but exhilarating days walk on the Inca Trail it was so nice to have a superb room to relax in. The free Pisco Sour was enjoyed in a hot bath. I had been told the hotels were basic but the... more

Given the remote setting, this hotel is surprisingly comfortable -- it was actually nicer than the Casa Andina Classic hotels where we stayed in Cusco & Puno, with a large room and comfortable queen sized beds. The staff were fairly friendly. The location was perfect because it was right next to the bus station. I did manage to completely flood... more

This is a solid 3 or 4 star hotel which is a ten minute bus trip from Machu Picchu. It is situated in the small town where the train arrives. It is a nice hotel and the food for dinner and breakfast is fine. Good location in terms of the rest of the town and safe to walk around. Staff... more

My wife and I stayed here in December of 2008 for one night while touring Machu Picchu. We took the first train from Cusco and toured the ruins all day until we checked into this hotel. We didn't know what to expect being in such a remote location, but we were very happy with our stay. The hotel was just... more

The location was good, and we had a good view. However, the room had a bad smell and the next morning, the shower floor was inundated with small black bugs! More than you could possibly count. My husband also had bites on his face and hands. The rate does not justify a 3 star hotel. My husband also developed some... more

I stayed at this hotel while on a Touring Holiday of Peru. I had DREAMED of going to Peru my whole life and Machu Picchu was a Big Highlight for me but I am not normally an outdoor girl and I was worried the hotel might me a bit basic due to the location. The Hotel was really a lot... more

Arrived to find no electrical power in our hotel or the entire town, which the locals say occurs often. Our hotel thus had no power except for an (too) small emergency generator that only ran for a few hours in the evening but not after midnight or during the daytime. Becasue no 220V power was available from this generator, we... more
