We had been in the jungle for a few weeks and wanted to end our trip with a night of comfort... we weren't disapointed. The hotel is situated in beautiful gardens and each room has access to a shared balcony or you can find a nice place to sit among the gardens. Mountains surround you on each side and you... more

We stayed one night at the Hotel Pakaritampu in Ollantaytambo during a two-day Sacred Valley tour. After a longer than expected drive down a narrow street that led from the Plaza de Armas to the train station, we were pleasantly surprised when we pulled into the courtyard of our hotel. The rooms are arranged in beautiful little houses around a... more

We stayed at the Pakaritampu twice both before and after our visit to MP. The hotel is cute and comfortable. The rooms are simple but comfortable. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good. It look forever to get a drink but the food came reasonably fast. They seemed to have lost our reservation for the... more

Pakaritampu Hotel has lush landscaping and comfortable, quiet spacious rooms. A few blocks from the plaza, Pakaritampu is convenient to town and is a 3 minute walk to the train and bus station. Use their telescope to find the Southern Cross. The resident llamas are adorable. Great breakfast. Living room available to guests with fireplace. more

This hotel has a beautiful setting with llamas roaming the grounds, flower gardens throughout the area. It has the feeling of a lodge more than a hotel. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated. The breakfast room was very cozy. They have a TV room and reading room also, although we did not use either. The staff was very helpful.... more

We only stayed at the Pakaritampu for one night, but we enjoyed it. The grounds are lovely. The bed was a bit small, but the rooms were adequate and clean. We had a great meal in the hotel's restaurant, and took advantage of the happy hour discount of 50% off drinks. (Pisco sours...mmmmm.) The location right next to the train... more

All the wonderful things noted in the other reviews about this hotel are spot on. The grounds are spectacular, the flowers in the gardens reminiscent of an English country estate. Well insulated rooms with comfortable beds, the photos don't do them justice because the color scheme makes them look like scout camp... Location is 75m's from the train station (but... more

The grounds are gorgeous with resident llamas (alpacas?) and a telescope that you can use to view the ruins. We were relegated to separate twin beds (a common theme in Peru -- perhaps because we have different last names? or maybe because 2 twin beds are more versatile than a full/queen bed?), but the room was comfortable with a nice... more

Hotel Pakaritampu was a very pleasent suprise. The place is very well taken care of,,,has a southwest theme, beutiful gardens with lots of huming birds, good security, and is located right by the train station. Quick check in with some complimentary coca tea. The room was large and there are plenty of blankets for those warm nights. We stayed two... more

First impressions were great - fabulous, colourful gardens and wonderful setting for this hotel. Our room and bathroom were spotless and we were glad to have made the decision to stay here. However apart from the porter who helped us with our luggage to the station in the morning, the staff were less than friendly, and not particularly helpful. We... more
