Paz y Luz was probably our favorite place of the seven hotels we stayed in on our recent visit to Peru. The natural setting is simply marvelous--our room looked out on the mtns (which surround you)-- there is the river on the other side--the views are simply spectacular. We also found this to be a welcoming place, even though we... more

Each building unique in itself and the day we spent with Diane, Francisco and Juanita, creating a despacho, was an energy jolt in the best positive way. Go and enjoy this beautiful spot away from the beaten path to Machu Pichu. more

I learnt of Paz y Luz through a friend and just felt I had to go there. In retrospect I clearly see why: not only is Paz y Luz a friendly place that makes you feel at home but the whole Pisac area is amazing. Cusco is to buzy and full of people for my taste but the Sacred Valley... more

The setting was beautiful and the rooms were fine. The staff was difficult to find when we needed something. Breakfast was bread and jam and coffee. The town of Pisac has a lovely restaurant call Ulike's where we loved the food and homey atmosphere. Forget the tours from Paz y Luz, overpriced and not well coordinated. Nothing spiritual about them. more

PazYLuz Pisaq Peru Last week of October 2007 Arrived with taxi from the town of Pisaq. Took just a few minuts. When I entered into the garden that surronds the houses the beauty of the place took my breath away. There were flowers, pathways with natural stones, wood and glass houses. The owner herself came and took care of me... more

Most people go to Paz Y Luz to partake in Inca spiritual retreats. The staff are world recognized for their skills. We went because we wanted to see Pisac and were welcomed just as nicely by other guests and the staff. We walked along the river, took a tour to the Pisac ruins, visited the town, and explored additional sights... more

We feel fortunate to have discovered Paz y Luz. We contacted the owner directly and were greeted cordially . We were shown to a lovely room with a great view of the mountains and the surroundings. The nights were beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and cozy. We loved it and we often talk of returning. Breakfast... more

Paz Y Luz was our first stay in Peru. We were there for 2 nights. While the hotel is outside of town it is only a 10 minute walk or Diane or Grey will be happy to call you a taxi. The first night we were there we could not get a taxi so we walked to town. It was... more

Paz y Luz was the first hostel/hotel my husband and I stayed at on our trip to Peru. We stayed there one night. The hostel grounds and buildings were located just outside the village of Pisac. Because this was our first trip to Peru, I had no idea what to expect - even with the travel books I had read.... more
