I loved this hotel! There is a second Hotel San Agustin nearby, but you can't beat the Monasterio. This was a real monastery once and is now a walled sanctuary with gorgeous grounds and rooms. We were in a new section of the hotel. Bedroom is simple but adequate. Bathroom nice with simulated Inca block walls around shower. Beautiful gardens immediately surrounding hotel. Breakfast was very good with more variety than other hotels that we visited. more

This hotel is incredibly charming and the restaurant is wonderful. The monestary is built on an old Inca terrace and town. Nice place and location with apparently friendly service, but we had $100 dollars stolen from the room whilst we were in the hotel. We obviously complained, but they did very little about it. more
