We reserved a Superior Room on the internet using the NH Website. We were in Montevideo to attend a special concert at the Teatro Solis. When we got to the room we were shocked to find that the bathroom had a sink about the size of the one on the airplane, no counter space, and a shower with no bathtub!... more

So yes the hotel is not in the best area when the sun goes down, but that is the same for any downtown area in any city in the world really. we booked via hotelscombined.com and got a great room for just over $65US per night. The room was big, clean and had ocean views. the area is nice and... more

The hotel was okay, but located in a dismal area of town (on the waterfront, but surrounded by abandoned buildings and public housing projects) and the rooms were old. What really made our stay a bad experience was the fact that the air conditioning in our room was malfunctioning (in the middle of a heat wave). Instead of giving us... more

On the outside, the hotel looked ok. Busy and bright lobby. Told room number and shown where lift was. Needed help with bags and person checking us in offered to help as there was no-one else around. Room very shabby and tatty. and did not look that clean. Room was so small that one medium sized case filled the floor... more

Stayed here 1 night with my brother (mid 20's) as a side trip from a trip to Buenos Aires, with the intention of exploring a new city. Overall, a pretty luxurious hotel in a dilapidated area. This hotel seems like mostly a hotel for business travelers but had what we wanted in a hotel and more. That is, ability to... more

Spent two nights in Nov. '08. Business hotel fronting a not-so-nice portion of the Rambla. Five minute walk from old city, ten minute walk to the mercado del puerto or Plaza Independicia. Not the best neighborhood, but we felt very safe, night and day. Very cheap rate on the hotel website. Rooms spartan, akin to Days Inn in the US.... more

CERTAINLY ONE OF THE BEST IN THE CAPITAL!!! We spent some hours to find this hotel, we went in almost 5/6 different hotels and they were old and ugly or far from the city centre (that at hight is a bit dangerous! so that is always better to take a taxi wherever you wanna go), so we were tired and... more

This is a great hotel in Montevideo! For $145/night, my husband and I booked a lovely suite with a view of the Rio del la Plata. They have many ammenities such as free breakfast, free wireless, and a free gym. And, the rooms are very modern and look to be recently redone. We would definitely stay here again! more

My mother in law, my husband and I stayed at this hotel for seven days in march. We strongly recommend it. The reception staff was extremely helpful, and at our request they placed us in rooms facing the river. The view is very, very beautiful, we were glad to awake every morning and watch it. The location is good and... more
