I just returned from Montevideo and stayed at the Sheraton. It was nice, clean and the staff was attentive. It is connected to a nice mall that even has a grocery market. Very close to La Perdiz restaurant.

Really handily placed for restaurants and bars. Good shopping close by too. Handy hint - there's a grocery store in the mall attached to the hotel so you can easily pick up essential items (and beer...) It could do with a bigger bar for meeting friends but otherwise was a very friendly and popular hotel

Loved this hotel, we went upgraded to a better room and it was clean and spacious and you can rely on Sheraton beds and bedding, which is important to me! The only real problem I had was with the super-slow wifi, which seems to be a huge problem in a business oriented hotel. With the new Hyatt being built in Montevideo, I think this Sheraton would benefit in remodeling their spacious but aging rooms and nice but old fashioned lobby. The breakfast was nothing special.
