I spent the last night of a holiday at the Kiikii hotel with my son before flying out the following day. In booking in, having phoned from my flash hotel at Muri beach, I heard the lovely and friendly voice of the darling at the other end pleasant and so welcoming. I was not disappointed on my arrival there and... more

I went to visit Rarotonga when I worked for Aloha Airlines in Honolulu (service to the Cook Islands ended in 2005) so my stay occurred in October 2004. I landed at the airport and basically "winged it" so I had no reservations nothing. I was referred to Kii Kii by a taxi driver ($20NZD from the airport) and had arrived... more

We have stayed here a few times now, the last time for three months, other stays for a week or ten days, and would not hesitate to do so again. Staff are frendly, we felt comfortable and relaxed there, no hassles. Money wise it can't be beaten in my opinion. If you want to pay for up market accomadation then... more

Booked a budget room at the Kii Kii (or K2 K2 as it is known locally!) for $40/ngt for two people. As budget was our major consideration, this was our pick of hotels, and were expecting the worst when we arrived. What a surprise! Although the room was very old and in need of a little repair, it was everything... more

Booked into the KiiKii for a 3-week stay while volunteering in Raro with my 13-year old son. Prepared for the worst, based on reviews, so booked into Oceanview room - Room 17 - corner room, ground floor. Ok - its not the Ritz, but it is charming, if a bit worse for wear. Cons - paint peeling, tiles chipped off... more

Firstly we booked their home in Aroa but were not told till we arrived at 11pm and dropped in Muri that they had sold that home. The smell when walking into the house was dreadful the ceilings were black with mould and the roof of the house and I suspect it was in the walls also. The ceiling fan in... more

The Kii Kii Motel is a wonderful family run hotel that offers fantastic value for your money. We have stayed in the motel several times and have always had a great time. The rooms are very basic but clean and for the price that you pay - you can't beat it. The local bus stops right outside the door or... more

We stayed in the Kii Kii bungalows that are on the opposite side of the island to the actual motel. They were called deluxe, which I found was not my interpretation of delux, but they were dulux compared to what was available. Is was quite clean and comfortable with adequate kitchen facilities to cook for yourself, which is a great... more

My husband and I were here in June 2003 and had a truly wonderful time. We booked in advance the budget room direct with the hotel (kiikiimotel.co.ck) and had a very nice correspondence with Ruth, the hotel manager. She also arranged airport pickup at a very reasonable price. As some other Rarotongan hotels charge you 50% of the rate even... more
