My wife and I stayed at Tubakula for 6 days in July 2008. We were looking for something by the beach and inexpensive - and chose Tubakula based on the contributions from other Trip Advisor members. We found Tubakula to be a delightful surprise, and thanks to the vidoes and photos from other contributors, we knew what to expect and... more

We loved our stay at Tubakula with our two small children. Our little A framed bungalow was classic 60s and had a nice little patio area looking out onto the beach where our 3 year old was as soon as she got up! There was plenty of shade on the beach from the palm trees so felt fine about our... more

Tabukula was cheap, clean, and beautiful, with the amenties we need and without those we didn't, as I explained in greater detail on my blot at http://2xtravel.blogspot.com. I do advise a car might be useful, though not required, since one might want to visit other beaches that have better swimming (the coral coast is not called that for nothing!) But... more

For fantastic value for money, you'd search high & low to find better on the Coral Coast of Fiji. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow, an A frame building with bedrooms upstairs and living area downstairs. The bungalows are basic & a little tired but offer self contained facilities only 5 metres from the waters edge. The pool area is... more

We had a great time. The pool was clean unlike some of the other hotel pools in Fiji. Also had a full size gas BBQ by the pool. We stayed in a beach front bunglow with a fully equiped Kitchen. They the only thing it did not have was a coffee pot but it did have an electric Kettle. There... more

A kind of mystique place at the other end of the world... Tubakula was our first stay on a trip around the world. The spacious bungalows (four people - no problem) are directly on the beach with a small stone porch in front. The hostel is the last one in a row of accommodations on the south route around the... more

We decided to stay here because I remembered it from my childhood in Fiji. It was all I could have hoped for. The price is incredibly good value and the location is excellent- our bungalow just feet from the beach and the wonderful coral lagoon. The bungalow was spacious and though basic, it was comfortable and clean. The staff were... more

I have to say I was sad by the events that happened here - I stayed and some of my personal items went missing from my locked room. The place itself was decent - the food a bit limited and the room not 100% clean, but for the price it was a beautiful location. The beach and reef in front... more

I happily stayed as a solo traveler on the Coral Coast at Tubakula Beach Resort in an ocean view A-frame house for four nights. For its price range ($100 Fijian ocean view, $125 Fijian ocean front), it's a great value. The long beach is white, pristine and beautiful with a shallow lagoon so I lazed away there in and out... more

I had a wonderful time in Fiji. I stayed in one of Tubakula's Beach Front Bungalows. The location was great. If I had to pick on anything it would be that the showers in our bungalow did not work that well and they didnt have a washing machine. However, for the price $120FJD split between 2 people. Its a bargain.... more
