Good location, very friendly and accommodating proprietors, but... dingy room, saggy mattress, flat pillows, gray sheets, and an air conditioner that wheezed and gave up in the middle of the night. We stayed 4 nights at Sandalwood. It is not near the beach (30 min walk) the rooms etc. were a bit dated and the swimming pool was not inviting. but this was made up for by the lovely and helpful staff. There are many restaurants and shops nearby and the famous Ed's Bar if you want late night entertainment. more

I have stayed at the Sandalwood more than 5 times. I always found it clean, and the pool was also very clean. You can get to all Islands from there. Any trips booked you are picked up at Sandalwood. Sandalwood is a clean, friendly budget accommodation option. It is set back from the main road, and is close to a small restaurant that has great cheap meals.
