I stayed at Le Meridien for 2 nights with my husband after a week long cruise. Great property, overlooking a beautiful beach. Great for snorkeling. Relatively quite considering the amount of kids and families who were there. Rooms are spacious and clean. Service is o.k. depending who you get. Food is pricey as it is everywhere in Tahiti. There is... more

I booked the Le Meridien Tahiti, only as a result of the way my flight schedule for Moorea left me overnight in Tahiti airport. Using my Starwood points, I choose this hotel to stay for 12 hours until I could catch the morning flight to Moorea. I didn't feel like the hotel was that far from the hotel as some... more

I booked my 8 night stay at the La Meridian Tahiti before I read the reviews, and I have to admit that I was concerned that I had made a big mistake. I will break down my experiance. Location: Yes, this is one of the farthest hotels from the airport and ferries. We took a taxi from the airport for... more

Hello all ... lets start by saying that almost everyone uses Tahiti as a stopover to somewhere else. This fact alone really changes the way that many look at their stay here. I will try to just judge it on what it is. A hotel in Tahiti. Just a note. We stayed here twice during our honeymoon, using Starwood points.... more

I had a room facing the bay and pool on the fourth flour and it was beautiful, very quiet and luxurious. Loved the view on the sea bungalow and watching the fishes from the little bridge. The pool has a sand bottom ! I found this hotel very realxing (and I am very picky) and would not hesitate to go... more

We took the Le Meridian Tahiti as a Stopover between the intercontinental Flight from NZ to our flight to Bora Bora. Arrived late at 9 pm. We expected a lot, but it was a completely quite place, no Bellboy and only one table of the bar has been occupied with bored-TV-watching kids. No French poynesia - feeling! And the rooms... more

A $40US cab from the airport tok us to this once full on resort that, sadly, has seen much better days. The facility is world class design with interesting features everplace you look. A huge Koi pond is elevated above the dining area overlooking a beautiful man made lagoon beach pool. The beach itself is just ok, but thats common... more

Just as a disclaimer, I am a Platinum member of Starwood's Preferred Guest program. The hotel itself is located quite a bit outside Papeete, on the other side of the airport. The downside is that a taxi ride to the city costs about 2500 XPF, but the upside is that it's on a great stretch of ocean and reef away... more

We were very disappointed with this hotel stay for our holiday vacation. The prices at the restaurants were outrageous. We paid over $100 for breakfast and the food had been setting out with flys everywhere. Prices were always different and we never knew what to expect to pay. Ice was not available anywhere. My husband had to walk every morning... more

-The first room we were in was a king size bed, lagoon room. Smelled of pee and the shower had NO hot water , WTF!! Moved to a junior suite. Much better! But we had to pay. Clean, Not smelly and many more perks and extras and WOW imagine that!! Hot water!! -Aside from that the Staff were stellar. Very... more
