Its very basic. No room service, no minibar, no working airconditioning, interrupting electricity supply. Rooms are ugly and screaming for renovation. Radio plays military music. Stayed a few times at the Koryo. Not a luxury hotel to us but the North Koreans think so. There are about three channels on TV, the guards wouldn't let me go off the premises, and very few if any spoke English. Fascinating from the hotel wondow but that's about it.
