The hotel is ok, but not more. No aircon, and breakfast was pretty bad. Staff not very friendly. But location is pretty good more

Because my favorite hotel in Sarajevo - the Hecco - had no room available, I stayed in Hayat for the first time. I would stay there again, but now know what not to expect. First of all, I didn't have the impression the staff was actually happy to welcome guests. There were hairs - not mine - on the pillow... more

Orlando: The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes: "Absolutely magnificent!" Date: August 6, 2004 Reviewer: A TripAdvisor Member, London UK We have just returned from a week at the Ritz Carlton. The hotel is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel to go to... more

Hotel Hayat is very close to the old town but very difficult to find on the windy 1-way streets. There is not a lot of signage so that didn't help either. The hotel staff was nice & friendly. The rate was 75 Euros for the night w/breakfast and parking. We were traveling with our 2 year old so had requested... more

Stayed here with my group for one night. This hotel is in a great location in a great city, nicely tucked away down a narrow street, about two blocks up a steep windy street from Old Town and the Turkish Bazaar. The rooms are the first two floors were small but fine, but I saw the rooms on the top... more

No Air Conditioning, however you could get a decent flow of air by opening patio door. Showers were kind of small. No Elevator. Big bus could not get up street to hotel so you had to haul your luggage up the street. Free internet. Hotel staff spoke limited English but they tried to be helpful. Some of the rooms were... more

The owners of this hotel could do a little more to make it a pleasure to stay. For a fairly new hotel, I suspect the mattress was someones cast off! The breakfast selection was extremely poor - a huge bowl of little biscuits mixed with some cereal, cordial, boiled eggs and bread. What a difference some yoghurt, fruit and meusli... more

I had 1 night in Sarajevo and wanted to be close to the Old Town, the Hayat is a short walk down a pedestrian route to the Sebrij and the centre of the Old Town. The Hotel is clean, modern, and many rooms have a panoramic view of the Eastern side of Sarajevo. The staff are young, friendly, English speaking... more

New hotel, nice and helpful English speaking staff, convenient location, only a 10-minutes walk to the old town. Due to a couple of roadsigns, the hotel can easily be found. Parking could be a problem, there are only 2 parking lots for the guests and you have to leave the key at the reception, in case the other car wants... more

We stayed at Hayat for three nights. First of all hotel is not four star rated as is on their logo under the name. Officially it is 3 star rated by their ministry. That was a great surprise when we finally arrived. It doesn't matter, actually I have stayed in 3 star hotels that are better maintained than 4 or... more
