We spent the last three nights of our 3 week trip the Eastern and Central Europe at the Hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb. Zagreb was a real treat and a nice way to wind down and enjoy their cafe culture after three weeks of travel and intense sightseeing. The Hotel is right on the main square, Jalacic Square, and our room... more

I'll start with the positives - the position of the hotel; smack bang in the centre of Zagreb overlooking the square (by the way, Zagreb is a beautiful city, especially at night) - quite a pleasant, clean room, with bathroom to match - free use of internet Now with the negatives - staff certainly weren't the friendliest I've come across... more

The Hotel Dubrovnik met our expectations as we came to tripadvisor to determine the quality prior to departing the US. The location is right off of the tram, easily found from airport to bus, then tram to square. They were able to check us right in. Rooms were small but overlooked populated area of the city and offered free breakfast.... more

The pictures on the hotel's website lead you to believe you will stay in an attractive hotel facing the square. The vast majority of rooms in the hotel are in a dirty building with no view of the square and an ugly glass facade with windows so filthy you can't see out, anyway. Our room was gloomy, dark and stuffy,... more

The room itself was well fitted out, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was spacious, water pressure excellent and plenty of thick towels were supplied. It was a terrific room to lounge around in. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The internet was fast, food was good, overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The location is good but close to... more

What can I say about Hotel Dubrovnik except that is fantastic? From there, you can visit ALL Zagreb by foot. It's close to all turistic spots and historical monuments. Great breakfast! Comfy rooms, always clean. Friendly staff always available to help you. Good value. Not expensive and worth all the cents spent. I would stay there again. No doubt! more

My companion wanted to stay downtown to see the sights. The outside air temp was above 90 degrees. Stayed in this hotel for three nights. The temperature was very high. I started carrying a thermometer a few years ago after staying in other hot hotel rooms. The temp in my room at this hotel registered at 84 degrees! This was... more

I agree with one of the reviewers in that considering this is a boutique hotel, the service could have been better. The staff members were helpful because they had to be. But you could tell that if they weren't bothered for their whole shift, that would have been fine. Not what I expect in a boutique hotel. The room had... more

Zagreb was a city in which hotels are, for the most part, greatly overpriced, with even mediocre hotels in weak locations charging pretty stiff rates. With this in mind, we decided to splurge on the Hotel Dubrovnik, as it wasn't a whole lot more expensive than other hotels out of the city center -- and the city-center of Zagreb is... more

You can't get a better hotel than this in Zagreb. There were 19 of us and we had 8 doubles and 1 triple room. For £60 per person per night this is great value. There is no 24 hour bar but we didn't need one as the city has more than enough to offer. Zagreb is a beautiful city and... more
