We arrived by train to Zagreb and were able to carry our bags from the station to the Hotel Dora without too much problem. Zagreb had just experienced unusually warm temperatures and this was a harbinger of problems ahead. Upon ariving at the hotel, we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff and shown to our room on the first floor - spacious, with two rooms and a bath - this is where the favorable comments ended. Where to begin: no air conditioning (thus sweltering during our June stay), no maid service (thus our room remained unchanged during our stay and we needed to ask for replacement towels).
