stopped in Bucharest for 3 days at the beginning of July in our way to Brasov. First of all, Bucharest is not much, dirty,hot and not very tourist friendly, but if a local can point to some highlights can worth a visit . We didnt want to spend much as it was only the beginning of our trip and a romanian friend booked us a room at Elite Suites.
its a family run hotel-like business in a partially converted old building. Once we arrived the building facade,entrance and old elevator didn't make us expect much, but the room was OK, with own bathroom, good size, modern, everything there, even internet and air conditioner which i think is a must if you are traveling there in the summer.
The location is in a big busy crossroad, quite centric, with metro and bus stations just next to the building. Windows are facing a main street but they were double glazed.

not fancy, but overall a good deal for 40Euro/night more
