We stayed at the Ramada Convention Center after checking out of the Phoenicia Grand. Wow what a difference! This hotel is brand new, with high-design furniture and art work throughout the lobby and the rooms. The lobby staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. After staying at the Ramada Plaza in Budapest prior to our Danube Cruise, we looked forward to spending our last nights at The Ramada Plaza in Bucharest. Unfortunately, except for a substantial buffet breakfast, there were no similiarities. Many of us found that our rooms did not have air conditioning - we were told to wait 15 minutes -still nothing.... more

Newer hotel with some areas still under construction. The room and bath were adequate size and clean. The main problem was that the hotel was too far from the city center. There were a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance and a very nice park. Probabaly, a good place to stay for events at the convention center, but not... more
