it's not easy to find this one, you can't print any instructions from the hotel website, but actually it's right in the center of belgrade. the most fabulous about this hotel was restaurant. tons of food, good quality, satisfactory price (cheaper than in moskva as a city i live in). well, i can't say it's overall cheap and neatly organised,... more
This hotel has not been renovated since the 70s. What a terrible experience. Stay away. It's claim for fame: The oldest hotel in Belgrade with the unique name doesn't make the stay comfortable. The only positive attribute is the location and the great view across the city. I tried the breakfast buffet only once, and left totally disgusted. What an... more
Hotel is old style chic; in my opinion very expensive for the room offered (VERY small). Bathroom cleanliness left to be desired... Conveniently located in heart of city. Hotel advertises that there is wireless in the hotel, but do not count on having it in your room as the signal is too weak to connect to a lot of the... more
The location of the hotel, within close walking distance of the center, bus, and train stations, is its most obvious benefit. The rooms can be a good deal for the single traveler, and I found its restaurant worth trying (very helpful wait-staff). A very good choice if one has a short overnight stay in Belgrade. more
All the descriptions of this hotel that use phrases like "faded elegance" or "crumbling glory" really do hit it right on the nose. The building itself is gorgeous on the outside. As soon as you find the hotel entrance though (it's on the backside, with a cheap little brown sign over the door), you know that you're not exactly walking... more
Best thing about this hotel: the restaurant and the sharp, clean sheets. Based on the reviews on this site, I knew exactly what to expect. I usually travel for business, so I'm accustomed to ultra-fine hotels. However, I was looking for something a little more rustic this time (and didn't want to spend the extra cash for a fancy hotel!)... more
From the other reviews here, we knew not to expect a Western-style 4-star hotel when we booked at the Moskva. However, we were excited for the historical experience of staying at this hotel. In this regard, we were not disappointed. The first room we were given was very small (about a foot wider on each side of the full-size bed)... more
I have stayed in Belgrade many times, but I have never had a need to get a hotel room. Due to unforeseen circumstances in Budapest, my partner and I decided we wanted to spend a nice, relaxing night in an established or respected Hotel. Hotel Moskva is well respected by the locals, and does have an AMAZING location. However, the... more
The best reason to choose the Hotel Moskva, other than the central location, is to stay in one of its duplex rooms. These are large double-height rooms with a tiny staircase up to the bedroom and adjacent bathroom. The decor is 1970s high camp with lots of gilt finishes and mud coloured carpets. On the ground floor underneath the staircase... more
