We stayed here for 3 nights in June, and this was our first visit to Belgrade. We had previously been warned that the standard of hotels wasn't "great" and this was certainly true! The staff's standard of English was good (very useful as we couldn't speak Serbian), and as other reviewers have said the location is perfect for exploring the... more

I was over in Belgrade to see the Eurovision Song Contest & booked the Union Hotel via Expedia a few months in advance. Was somewhat concerned based on the comments in Trip Advisor, but stuck with our original plans. The Hotel is located in a quiet street less than 10 mins walk from many of the main squares, eating &... more

Apart from the location which was very convenient, everything else was more than disappointing. The room was relatively clean but there wasn't any hot water and our complaint was ignored by the staff. The insulation was very poor therefore the room was extremely noisy at night and there was a cigarette smell coming from the corridor all night long. The... more

This hotel is on a quiet street just a block away from Trg Republike (Republic Square), one of Belgrade's main squares. It is also withing walking distance to Knez Mihalova street (10 minutes), Parliament (5 minutes), Kalmegdan (15 minutes) and Skardilja street (10 minutes). So an amazing location compared to expensive hotels (like Hyatt) in Novi Beograd. The staff was... more

The hotel is fairly central and in a small quite street. Staff is friendly and tries to be helpful as much as possible. Breakfast is OK (not more than that however). As for the rest, my opinion is not that positive. Rooms are pretty small and with very old furniture (even if they are clean). More generally, however, the hotel... more

Quite simply this hotel is a deathtrap. It is in a good location but honestly you are risking your life if you stay here. The bathrooms are the worst that I have ever seen and I was deeply concerned that I would catch something from sleeping in the bed. I checked in at 2 am and checked out at 8... more

I would suggest that this hotel is the worst ever. I arrived for a three night on 26/8 but checked out after just one night. The hotel is very dated and desperate for renovation from its 18th century furniture and decoration. I stayed in room 206 at the back. There was only one window that didn’t close properly and looked... more

I am from Hungary and travelled with my boss who was from the UK. We chose this hotel based on the price and the pictures placed on the net: looked quite ok. We were visiting Belgrade for business reasons and had to stay 2 nights only. What a shock! When we arrived the hotel literally stank of sewage which was... more

There is nothing special about this hotel, which is located on a relatively quiet street. The dining room and lobby have a slightly illegal look about them but our room was spacious with a decent bathroom. Breakfast, not a buffet, was not that good, greasy eggs for instance. Our two night stay at Hotel Union was not a memorable experience... more
