We have stayed at other state-run hotels in Belgrade but this is the worst we ever encountered! Rooms were appalling, bathtub was painted over and paint was peeling off, breakfast was unedible, and service varied from rude to indifferent. The absolutely worst thing about our Belgrade trip was the Royal Hotel (Toplice). For starters: luxury (that is how they classify that room) room 80 Euros per night.
