The other travellers reviews are absolutely right. The hotel seems to be a training institution for a hotel staff school. Young trainees starring at you everywhere. The hotel is worn in general, it requires a deep reconstruction. The receptionists absolutely lasy (they say overloaded). E.G.iIf you ask for a map of Belgrade, they tell you that they dont have it,... more

The best thing of hotel Palace is its vicinity to the city centre. It's just a few minutes walk to the pedestrian area - Knjez Mihajlov street - and a few more minutes from the river or the Kalemegdan castle. The service is not bad and the rooms are okay. The food is not great but still okay. There is... more

Spent two days at this Belgrade hotel. Old style lobby, a bit dated rooms (all the stuff was there, just very worn), good, over-staffed breakfast. The location is great, very close to main pedestrian shopping street and the old castle. Very good wireless internet. Maybe I had expected more. more

Hotel Palace receives neutral rating, just because this standard seems to be typical in this country. Else it would be one rate worse. Staff were usually indifferent. Although most appeared to speak English, it seemed that only one person at the reception was allowed to give information to foreigners. Everybody called for him when I asked a question. Breakfast was... more

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel from 29th Dec 2007 - 2nd Jan 2008. Our first choice was hotel Union,in which we stayed last year for New Year`s, but it was already full. We booked hotel Palace on their web site, because location of the hotel seemed ok, it is really in the centre of the city, 2min... more

First, the location is splendid, in downtown Belgrade, at 200 meters from Knez Mihailova street (the pedestrian shopping heart of the Serbian capital) and very close to the Cathedral. My favourite Belgrade restaurant, Knez, is at 100 m from the hotel. Znak pitanja (?), the oldest restaurant in the country, is only a little further. Second, it is good value... more

I have stayed at this hotel several times now. If you have all the money in the world, stay at the Hyatt, but if not, you could do worse than staying here. Whereas the Hyatt is in the middle of an industrial site, at least the Palace is bang in the centre of the old city, with the pedestrian shopping... more

Had read the reviews of the hotel on TripAdvisor and been put off. However, there seemed to be little availability in the whole city, so called them, and they had availability. Asked to see a room on arrival, and was told this was an unusual request, but they agreed. On arrival, I was shown to possibly the darkest, scruffiest hotel... more

This is by NO means a three star hotel! The first night I had a massive cockroach in my bathroom that seemed as though it was falling apart! Open electric wires were hanging above my shower and I wandered what would happen if I had sprinkled them with water... I quickly finished, dried myself with the ancient towels and then,... more
