These guys charged me for both the reservation I made online and the bill for the night I stayed there which I signed, an honest mistake right? The problem is when I disputed the charge they sent letters to my credit card company claiming I stole the bedclothes(!) They even included murky-looking copies of receipts! The point is they followed... more

I found this hotel to be a good experience for business travel. Room is good size, and has the basic services. It was just missing paper to write, a phone book and a better shower floor. The food in the hotel is acceptable, especially the buffet, many options. The maintenance service was quick and successful (I had problems with the... more

This hotel was conveniently close to the Managua airport with a regular shuttle. The grounds had a fair number of birds including dozens of orioles and several other species. more

I was a walk up on a Sunday afternoon. A room was available for about $95. I had to pay $5.75 to get WiFi in my room. Totally worth it. Plus, the WiFi worked all around property. I answered some E-mail by the pool. Very cool feeling. The property is gorgeous! And the staff is very, very friendly. The food... more

We arrived late at night and discovered that there was no shuttle service available late in the evening, but the cab ride from airport to hotel was short and only $6 for two of us. We found the staff at the Camino Real to be friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds and our room were impeccably clean and spacious. We... more

After roughing it with no power in San Juan del Sur for most of the week, our night at this hotel seemed positively luxurious to us. We only stayed here one night, after driving from SJDS, so that we could catch our flight out of Mangua at noon. We were all pretty pleased with everything. Dinner at the "Casablanca" restaurant... more

While this hotel looks nice and clean, EVERYONE in my group got major stomach issues here, but not at any other point in our Nicaragua trip. In addition, I got more mosquito bites here than anywhere else in Nica, even though I was only here for one night. The breakfast and lunch were nice, but dinner took 40 minutes of... more

Camino Real only used purified water internationally certified. The kitchen is inspected frequently by thirds because Camino Real serves all international airlines flying to Managua. Gardens are fumigated for customers comfort. Churrasco is a 8oz grilled steak and not a hamburger.

As other note, this hotel's location is about what is has going for it. The restaurant was fair -- had a good club sandwich there. Rooms are seedy, but relatively clean. It was quiet, too. Use it for your night-before-departure, but not for anything else. more
