So I got up this morning and made pancakes and guess what I somehow found myself thinking of Panama...Casa Las Americas to be exact. My stay was back in December and I'm finally getting to this review sparked from my memories of enjoying one of Ron's breakfast that'll keep you going through most of your day . My stay was... more

First place we stayed in on our trip across central America and a great start, Ron was really helpful, sorted out an airport transfer and then helped us settle in. Free internet and international calls were a real bonus. Would recommend as base for exploring the city. more

Casa Las Americas was a real find - it should be in the Lonely Planet and Footprint guides. Ron and his daughter were fantastic - with really helpful advice - nothing was too much trouble, including our constantly changing plans. We quickly regarded them as friends in a City which we did not know. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean... more

Casa Las Americas was perfect for our two nights in Panama. We had a fairly large room with a bathroom and air conditioning. Panama City is hot so the AC was great to have. The rooms are basic but fit the needs if your younger and traveling through the city. The location is very conveinent and even has a nice... more

A nice, clean and very good located place to stay at. It has many restaurants and even a casino nearby. Ron is an excellent host, a very friendly, helpful and easy going person, as so is his staff (Lina and Daya who are great cooks). Breakfast are the best part of the deal (I loved the juices), something that you... more

I live in Panama about two hours from the city and occasionally stay overnight when I am in the city shopping and doing business. A friend told me about this place 4 months ago and I decided to try it out. It is located in a great area in the city, restaurants and entertainment are within walking distance. Lina and... more

We certainly weren't looking for the Ritz, but we were looking for a basic, clean crash pad and were still disappointed. I honestly can't understand all of the past rave reviews about this place. I can overlook it being in an old building, having lots of stairs, not much hot water, baths without a/c (all as referenced in previous reviews)... more

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while in Panama City. The accomodations were perfect for us. The location was near (walking distance) plenty of restaurants and entertainment. Ron and his daughter had a great knowledge of the city (as well as world travel in general) and were able to make excellent suggestions for things to do. We... more

Our relationship with Ron, the "main guy" and principal of Casa Las Americas, started when I couldn't reach Air Panama after several days of trying to book a local flight to Bocas del Toro from Panama City. Not knowing what to do, I emailed Ron, our only Panama contact at the time. He immediately got back to me with some... more

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Las Americas. The owner was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with via email. Ron even saved us a parking spot in front of the B&B since we were arriving late in the evening. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. WiFi worked well, the location was great,... more
