We stayed at the Country Inn when we got to Panama and the night before we flew out. Amador is a great location close to the domestic airport if you have early or late flights. The room is clean and the staff is very warm and gracious. The A/C is great and the view of the lake is fantastic. We... more

This place is OK. It would be good for families with small kids as the pool is nice and they would like TGIF. Otherwise, there is not much within walking distance. You can take an overpriced hotel "VIP" taxi or walk to the road and hope one passes by. We had a view of a tree and the pool, not... more

The Hotel had Great views to the Panama Canal and a good Restaurant (Fridays) on site but the Desk staff were not very helpful and the room could have been cleaner. It seemed that they put 2 Queen beds in a room built for one and for 140.00 a night you expect a little more. Breakfast was not that good.... more

First time in Panama, and we were only there for a few days (unfortunately), so we wanted something special. Carlson certainly lived up to that. Unpleasentries: This is not a 5* review because: I asked for a Canal View room when i booked in February 08 (for a stay in August 08). When we arrived were were given a room... more

Our rate of $82 paid through asiadirect.com was a great bargain for this hotel. The location near the Bridge of the Americas in Amador is ideal for exploring the canal zone and for accessing the Amador Causway (nice place for running/biking and dining/drinking in the evening). The pool area was a great setting to have breakfast with a view of... more

My husband and I toured Panama for a month and made the Country Inn and Suites, Canal, our "base camp". It is a very nice modern hotel, clean with a friendly staff. The Fantastic View overlooks the Panama Canal and rooms fairly spacious patios from which to view the ships as they move to or out of the canal; great... more

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night upon my arrivel in Panama, as it was my first time in Panama the opportunity to stay in a hotel alongside the canal was very tempting for me. The hotel is OK you can see it is there already for a while. Reception girl was nice and check in went smoothly. The room... more

Spent one night at the Country Inns and Suites Panama Canal. It was pretty average. Booked the room directly with the hotel and check in and quick. The room itself was quite large and had wireless high speed internet. The room was clean and had a large balcony. There was a large pool. The shower temperature was very hard to... more

The rooms in the this hotel are great, we loved the view of the canal and the pool is very nice. But the location is quite isolated - to get into the city you have to take a cab, too far to walk.. We have also (in 6 months of travelling South America) never come across such rude front desk... more

Good position right on the entrance to the Panama Canal and worth paying a little extra for a Canal view room but beware that some have restricted view because of a large tree in the grounds. Rooms are very reasonable and good condition. The staff were helpful and spoke English on Reception. There are plenty of taxis at the hotel... more
