We stayed here for four nights while sightseeign in Panama. It is in the Canal Zone which means it is safer to stay for Americans and you dont have to overwatch your back every step. We liked the security of staying in this area, though you do need a car if you want to sightsee on your own, or else... more

I had the misfortune to spend 2 nights at this hotel on a trip through Panama. It was booked by the Travel Agency I used who I have advised of the same. The room was filthy and smelt very musty. The hot water was tepid and the Front Desk most unhelpful. To be avoided at all costs. more

We stayed at the Country Inns both as part of an ElderHostel group and the next week on our own for a total of five days. The hotel is right on the Panama Canal in the old Canal Zone and very convenient to Panama City. A good breakfast is included. We found the rooms to be good sized and the... more

Do not stay in this hotel, I stayed there yesterday and the room was terrible... very dirty, musty smell, hair in the bed and bathroom etc. Even the table chair was so dirty that I had to use a pillow to cover it to be able to sit on it. I need also to say that this was the second... more

We were three women in a foreign country and had requested rooms near each other - but when we got there we all had rooms in different floors. One of the rooms had not been cleaned - it had vomit on the bedspread. My friend complained to the front desk and was given another room that was dirty - but... more

Lured into booking 3 nights at the Country Inn by the nicely shot images at their website, the reality was quite a disappointment. The hotel is located in a very dull and quite despressing area of Panama City - it made me feel like being in a city in one of the US square states. Service was OK. Free internet... more

First, be sure you have the right hotel. There are two Country Inns, and the one at Amador is the one most used by tourists. It is by the canal, this one is in Dorado. It causes no end of confusion. We found the rooms to be consistent with US standards for size, appointments, cleanliness and services (in-room coffee, daily... more

Third time staying in this hotel. Each time there is a problem. After the 2nd time with no room, that should have told me something. Seems like they overbook and there are no rooms; 2nd visit would not accept my confirmation number showing payment in advance for room; same continental breakfast every morning. After the 3rd day, that gets old.... more
