The place is just as pictured. It is basic and clean. The provided breakfast was nice. The hosts are super helpful. This is a great place to hang your hat, shower and sleep. However, when travelling, my spouse & I like to do our sightseeing during the day and hang out with a bottle of wine in the evening. The... More

We spent the night of our arrival in Panama here. We used their airport pickup service from Tocumen airport and found it very convenient especially after a long flight; the driver met us upon arrival. The Inn is conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood a few minutes from Albrook airport. We enjoyed our breakfast on the covered patio and all... More

We stayed there for 3 nights in January, 2012, and it was by far the very best place we have ever stayed-anywhere! Bill and Mieke were the best hosts! The rooms are great, the breakfast is too. And the yard and birds are fantastic. The location is also wonderful as it is so safe to walk around the area. Wish... More

We only stayed one night at the Balboa Inn, as we went on to the San Blas islands the following day. But Mieke and Bill went out of their way to help us with everything we needed and offered that we could store our luggage a week later when we had one day to spend in Panama City. The Inn... More

We recently spent five nights at the Balboa Inn, and we can’t imagine having chosen a better place to stay in Panama City. First of all, the canal zone is a tranquil, laid-back, relaxing part of the city—in our view, so much more desirable than other downtown areas, such as El Cangrejo or Bella Vista, for example. It really felt... More

After an arduous journey to Panama City on Christmas eve, I felt instantly at home when I walked in the door at the Balboa. Mieke and Bill took me in with great warmth, found me a way to get to a fabulous restaurant for supper, and managed to find a driver to deliver me to the airport early the following... More

We were looking for a quiet, convenient place to stay with easy access to the surrounding areas and found it. The staff is wonderful. The B & B hosts were informative and helpful. Our only negative is the Innkeepers both smoke. We had a room above the smoking area on the patio and the smoke would come thru our open... More

The Balboa Inn was interesting. It was not the right place for us since it was in a very suburban area. It is a converted house on a very quiet street. You can walk 2 blocks and hail a cab and you are then about 5 minutes from everything. The cab driver got lost getting there-but we expected that and... More

The Balboa Inn met and served all our needs! My wife and I were really pleased with our choice of staying in the Balboa area. The morning walks were a highlight. Alcon hill is in your backyard! The B&B hosts were wonderful and aimed to please. Each day we planned out day excursions or just relaxed and enjoyed the property.... More
