Lakeside accommodations and delicious home cooked meals combine at Lakewood Camps for a relaxing retreat in the wilderness of Maine. I stayed in a rustic cabin right on Lower Richardson Lake and was serenaded by loons at night. I spent my days hiking around and fly-fishing in the amazing Rapid River. As a novice fly fisherman, I gained helpful advice from the staff and other guests. Accommodations are excellent yet rustic--with twin beds and a Franklin stove in the living room. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat where you can spend your days fishing or relaxing on the porch reading a book, this is the place for you. more
