The Scotlaur Inn offers cozy, quaint rooms with early 1900's decor, with private baths (showers). The inn occupies the 2nd and 3rd floors above Chick and Ruth's Deli. Ted & Beth, the owners, and their staff are friendly, and make you feel like you're family! more
The rooms are OK (I hate flowery wallpaper though and that whole early 1900s theme) but mine was just DIRTY, including the toilet. Ewwww. It wasn't just water stains. I did a Kleenex wipe under the bowl. Filthy. Floor had also not been vacuumed. Totally overpriced at $140 with tax. I'd have been OK paying $70 had the place not... more
No idea what to say, some people just like to complain. I would invite someone from trip advisor to walk in unanouced and we would be more than happy to inspect our rooms. I garintee they are spotless. We send a manager up everyday to check what needs to be fixed and or cleaned better if missed. Any one feel...
We came to visit Annapolis for our wedding anniversary. We arrived on Saturday (New Year's Eve) for an overnight visit. My husband is 6 ft 6 inches tall and we were very disappointed that the rooms were so small. The staircase (we were on the 3rd floor) was so narrow that we had to carry the suitcases in front of... more
I am sorry this couple was not happy. They wanted there money back as soon as they arrived. They didn't like that our Inn is part of our family restaurant which is where you ckeck in. I guess they were looking for the triditional B&B in a family style house. We told them that It was New Years Eve and...
My wife and I lived in Delaware up until recently, and we visited Annapolis as much as possible. For our wedding anniversary a few years back, my wife planned a trip for us to Annapolis. We always wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast, but since we were in school, and had a small child, money was an issue.... more
The room was small but the location was perfect. It would have been nice to visit with the owners, but the downstairs deli is extremely busy and they are understandably unable to meet the B&B guest. The food in the deli was delicious. The only really negative thing about the Inn was the parking. Although it is not far from... more
My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend in Maryland, hitting Baltimore, Annapolis, and Ellicott City. We chose the Scotlaur Inn in Annapolis mainly because of price; it was cheaper than most, and the Main St. location was a plus. You check in at the Delly counter, which is a total "Greasy Spoon." Since we were travelling light (if you... more
These rooms are entirely too small. Don't be fooled by the internet pictures. Even though the bathroom had been remodeled, you had to stand beside the toilet just to close the door! The room we were in was not clean either........ more
Spent a weekend at the Scottlauer Inn on Main Street in Annapolis. It's on top of a Deli but we never heard noises from there. Rooms are cute. Small but very functional. Breakfast is in the deli. Good choices, but crowded in the AM. Our room 201 faced Main Street and the only time that was a problem was when... more
My stay this weekend at the Scotlaur Inn has prompted me to write my first hotel review. My wife and I went to DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis for our anniversary, and we stayed at several places along the way; this was the worst experience of any of them. I'll start with the positives: The room was nice and clean, and... more
