I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel having stayed at the Marriott on the water and the Lowe's Hotel on West Street; The O'Callaghan was a undiscovered gem for me. I am glad I stayed there. Staff were really friendly and helpful, from recomending restaurants, getting us directions, sorting out hire car and then bringing us everywhere in their van. First, the good. The hotel is within walking distance (several blocks) blocks away from all there is to in Annapolis. It's clean and not unlike most other hotels. The lobby is small but charming. The rooms at this hotel are not very well sound-proofed. You can hear everything on both sides of you as well as very loud slamming doors down the hall. I would not suggest this for people looking for a quiet stay in Annapolis. more
