On arriving in Amherst, it took us a good half hour to find the hotel. The building is a 1970s-looking scary Stalinist-style monolith across one end of the beautiful Amherst campus. It was a pleasant stay. First time visitors bringing our son to look at the school. The desk staff was very helpful with suggestions concerning the school and the area. Pretty disappointing place. Dirty bathroom, cement rooms, unfriendly lady at the desk. This place needs a lot of work. Very hard to find - in campus student union. Not a bad breakfast. Cheap. more
