The good story: This is a beautiful old house, modernised just enough to be comfortable, but otherwise pretty much as it would have been 100 years' ago. It's furnished comprehensively in-period, with a careful eye for consistency. The surroundings are wonderful, and it's a very short walk to the centre of Amherst. Very, very comfortable. Stayed here two nights ago with my teenage son while on a college search visit to the area.
