My fiancee and I had a wonderful (if short) stay at Centerboard. It was everything we'd pictured in a Nantucket guest house. Our inn keeper James Blunt couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Willingly dispensing with tips when asked, but never making too much conversation. We stayed in the suite and felt spoiled. However, we had a chance to... more

My girlfriend and I and her young daughter stayed at the Centerboard last week. We had a lovely room and even the sleeper sofa was comfortable! The breakfast was fantastic! i loved the freshly made coffee cake and the fresh fruit. Due to the weather, our ferry back to the mainland was canceled. We were thrilled that James, the innkeeper,... more

Truly a great place! Rooms are lovely and clean. The innkeeper, James, was great. He replenished the brreakfast food often and made sure we had enough to eat. Very friendly and accomodating innkeeper. We had a great time and would return to this inn again . We visit the island frequently as our son works there and this is one... more

We found the Centerboard to be an excellent base from which to explore the island. James, the innkeeper, was helpful and knowledgable, unobtrusive but around when you needed him. Breakfast was delicious with home baking. The bathroom is small but brilliantly designed with space where you need it. Our cranky laptop refused to link to the wireless connection and James... more

We were looking for a nice place for a girl's weekend on Nantucket. Something that wouldn't break the bank but was really nice, close to town and would be relaxing enough for us to re-charge our batteries and get back to our families well rested and happy. We found it all at the Centerboard Guest House. We had two rooms... more

I'll make this short and sweet, just like our stay in Nantucket. From our initial greeting to the breakfast to the recommendations for dining and leisure, we could not have asked for a better host in James Blunt. The Centerboard is a well appointed, clean, classic Nantucket guest house in a perfect location near downtown but just far away enough... more

My family and I have started a tradition (this was our 6th year) of going to Nantucket for the Daffodil Festival every year. This is our sixth year and each time, we have stayed at the Centerboard. We rent the Boathouse room and the other room downstairs and absolutely love it. We have our own private enterance and even a... more

The Centerboard Inn is charming. I loved the quite rooms and views of the old shingle houses and cobblestone streets. The Inn Keeper, James always had freshly roasted coffee ready for us in the early morning and gave us maps and suggestions for our daily tours around town. I recommend renting a jeep (ask James) In fact James makes you... more

I never write reviews, but this is the first time I ever had such a STRANGE AND AWEFUL encounter. After reading the generally positive reviews on tripadvisor, I called to make a reservation. I asked about the available rooms and rates and made my selection. The innkeeper took my name, telephone number, address, and credit card information. I then ask... more

I truly regret causing the caller distress by declining to take this reservation. In doing so I was relying on instincts and judgments formed over a long career in the hospitality industry about whether or not the Centerboard (and I, personally) could meet this party's expectations. I maintain that we could not. It is common practice to obtain the security...

The charming Inn Keeper, James, makes his own signature coffee by roasting his own beans- absolutely a wonderful morning treat in the beautiful sun room. The Inn is an antique, gorgeous architecture. The guest rooms are cozy & comfortable and well appointed (have stayed in 3 different rooms) Love the location as walking distance to town & beaches, a great... more
