This was the only hotel I stayed at that wasn't in a guide book. A street hustler convinced my Israeli friend that we should take a look. Everything started out fine- rooms were good enough for the price. However, when I left for lunch I went to wash my hands and discovered there was no water in the downstairs back bathroom. I informed the manager, who was very skeptical for some reason. That evening, I tried it again, but there was still no water. The shower worked, so my friend went to take a shower. When he got out, he rested his hand on the sink and the whole thing fell off the wall and almost smashed his foot. As if this wasn't bad enough, later that night the hotel staff demanded we help pay for the repair. My friend asked to speak to the owner.
