For the first part of our honeymoon, we stayed at Casa Santo Domingo. Gorgeous hotel that was once an old monastery; it is enchanting, magical. I was SHOCKED reading some of the other reviews and wondered if we were even in the same hotel. This hotel is GORGEOUS!! Once you step inside the walls, you feel as if you have been transported back to the time when it was a monastery. It is amazingly beautiful there. The grounds are impeccable and the pool is fantastic. It's like staying in a park... there are ruins there. The rooms are spacious and clean with the same architecture and feel of the ruins. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful and luxurious. They unfortunately don't treat their staff very well. more
