This is a lovely hotel in a quiet part of Antigua. All the rooms are large and different and furnished with eclectic old furniture. The big courtyard is delightful for relaxing in. The breakfast is ample and served in the courtyard. The staff didn't speak english so that might be a problem for some travelers. We would definitely stay there... More

I stayed in a lovely room at Casa Capuchinas. It was large, well-ventilated, and the bed was especially comfortable. It looked out onto the hotel's beautiful interior garden. However . . . I could hear every word, every cough, and every cry of the baby in the room next door. I was just lucky it was a crying baby and... More

Dirty, old and terrible service. I pay 97 us for a room with terrible smell and terrible attention from people working there. I had to stay because o arrived pretty late and too tired to find another place.

This is beautiful old home with a lovely garden courtyard. The rooms are all different and beautifully decorated with period pieces. The breakfast is served at tables in the courtyard. Located a few blocks from the main square and right across the street from Las Capuchinas. Stayed at this B&B in 2001 and again in 2012. It is still as... More

On our first trip ever to Guatemala, my wife & I stayed here based upon the advice of other family members who'd stayed here before, having had a pleasant experience with Casa Capuchinas. The general appearance of the place was rustic as expected, but well accommodated our needs. The room we had (I believe it was Room #1, and I... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Casa Capuchinas to attend a friend's pre-wedding celebration and wedding. The outside of Casa Capuchinas, like a lot of things in Antigua, was quite unimpressive. Once you walked in however, you enter a new world of a well manicured central garden, places to sit and enjoy the outside and/or breakfast (included in... More

My wife and I spent four nights at Casa Capuchinas along with our daughter and her husband. This former convent still retained the appearance of a walled cloister, but with rooms that were very comfortable and large. The rooms still had the original tile floors and wooden ceilings which were in great condition. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast... More

When we arrived at the location, it was dark and rainy. Our shuttle pulled up to the poorly lit street and when the driver said that this was it, I was horrified. I wondered what I had done with this booking. Little did I know how wrong I was! The management led us into a beautifully decorated outdoor living room,... More

My parents, my husband and I had a wonderful 4-night stay at Casa Capuchinas. The fact that the grounds were part of a convent intrigued us, and the decor was lovely - each room is differently decorated, all with wooden ceilings, tile floors and some with fireplaces. The staff members went out of their way to be helpful. We were... More

This is probably our 4th or 5th time in Antigua and we have stayed at quite a few different places (Posada de Don Rodrigo, Posada San Pedro,Hotel Santa Clara) with Casa Capuchinas being our favorite place. We came in on a Sunday and will leave tomorrow (Wednesday). The weekends are busy here, but we have been the only ones during... More
