We spent our first night in Antigua at this charming bed and breakfast. The staff were very accomodating- our room was not ready but they held our luggage, served us drinks and we were able to relax at the pool on shaded hammocks. Spent a week at the Mansion del Pensativo and adored it. Great location two blocks from the square, gorgeous garden and views, friendly service, luxurious accomodations, tasty breakfasts, and tranquil atmosphere. Try to get suites 1 or 4. Highly recommend this outstanding B&B. Can't wait to return. more

I have stayed full weeks at the Pensativo in 2003, 2004 and 2005. This is one of my favorite small hotels - more like a deluxe B&B - in the world. The grounds are impeccable. The suites are luxurious and clean and the staff is attentive to all your needs. You are simply a guest in a very luxurious home... more
