My husband and I stayed at Casa Florencia while we were attending a wedding in Antigua. We flew standby and ended up not making it for our first night and Patricia was fantastic in accommodating the last minute change to our stay. We had a first floor room and loved being right off the beautiful courtyard but would probably have... more

Ask for a second floor room for view of the volcano. We stayed in room 7, which is closer to the road and we did hear some traffic. Easy walking distance to main square and restaraunts. Staff was very helpful (assisted making a long distance call to Honduras). As noted in other posts, this hotel has the cleanest rooms that... more

We stayed at Casa Florencia 2/26-3/1/2009 and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is managed by very courteous and helpful staff. The breakfast area (patio/corridor) is pleasant. The second floor (where our room was located) had a nice view of the distant volcanoes (Volcan Agua, Volcan Fuego, ???). Our room was plenty big with a ‘walk-in closet’ and nice... more

Casa Florencia is managed by very courteous and helpful staff and the patio/corridor is pleasant. The rooms at the ground floor are clean but tend to be pretty small (the same goes for the bathroom). More annoyingly the window gives on the internal corridor and there is no external view which makes it a bit suffocating and doesn’t allow much... more

We stayed at Casa Florencia for three nights — our first two days after arriving in Antigua and before leaving for Xela and a week later for one night before we left for the airport. Both rooms in which we stayed were very clean and pleasant. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. We had hot water for showers.... more

Great little hotel with character. Hot showers and totally clean, professionally run, quiet and charming. We spent three nights there in all, two when we first arrived and one on the way back from Lake Atitlan to Guatemala City. Upper level has great views, antiques and plants. We were offered a nice breakfast to go when we had to leave... more

I stayed here only one night while passing through Antigua. The hotel is simply beautiful and quite charming! Very, very clean. The owners & staff were very sweet! There is so much detail used from the bathroom tiles, to the bedroom linens. I would classify it as a "next-to-luxury" hotel. It is close to all the attractions in town, only... more

This hotel is nice, clean and the staff are very nice. The location isn't great but Antigua is a small town so it isn't a big issue. While I did enjoy my stay there if I were staying again, or advising a friend, I would stay closer to the main square. more

While in Copan, Honduras, a posada owner suggested that while we were in Antigua, we stay at Casa Florencia. There was only availability for 3 nights of the 5 we wished to stay. For the first 3 nights we were in a room which was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable while still being decorated in a sophisticated Spanish-colonial decor. The... more
