Casa Encantada is one of the best hotels in which we have stayed in Guatemala. It is not one of the large "Chain Hotels" and has a lot of character. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and neat. If I didn't know better, I would think our room was fairly new. The showers had... more

If you stay in Casa Encantada's roof-top suite, as we did, you will find it is comfortable, spacious, beautifully furnished and quiet. We heard other guests, who stayed on the first floor, complaining about the street noise. The staff at Casa Encantada were unsurpassed--each one was extremely helpful, doing everything possible to insure a pleasant stay. We were there for... more

Being from Guatemala I have been to Antigua countless times - and have stayed at several of the hotels. In my opinion, nothing compares to Casa Encantada and I honestly don't understand why it currently sits at #26 on this list. It's a hotel-de-charme where every little detail has been thought of. There are only a handful of rooms, which... more

Just got back from a lovely week in Guatemala, and a 3-night stay in Casa Encantada. It was everything the prior Trip Advisor reviews had indicated--comfy beds, romantic roof terrace, exceptionally gracious and helpful front desk staff, good location. A bit of affordable luxury. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to friends. And Antigua is a gem! more

We stayed for ten nights, in one of the king suites. It was the most comfortable bed i've every slept in. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with any of our requests and the breakfast on the rooftop was amazing every morning......I would come back in a heart beat, and hope too one day:-) more

Just returned from four nights at the lovely Casa Encantada in Antigua. We were in room 5, which is a little on the small side, but still lovely and very comfy. We had friends in rooms 6 and 7, both right off the lily pond, and those rooms were gorgeous. We did not get to see the suite, but heard... more

Stayed here for 2 nights. Just a great place. Super comfy bed. Quiet room. Great rooftop breakfast/bar area (yummy breakfast too) overlooking the town and mountains. The staff were helpfull and polite. Location is good too about 4 blocks from the square. I'm sure there are other great places in Antigua but this was my fav. of our trip to... more

We recently spent four nights at Casa Encantada...three in the suite and one in room 7, directly off of the water garden. Both rooms were charming. I have traveled a lot and the suite is one of the finest rooms I've ever stayed in; every detail is first class, furnished beautifully and uniquely and the bed is the most comfortable... more

We stayed at this hotel in February 2006. We found it absolutely charming, beautifully filled with Spanish touches. We stayed in room 6 which is located in a secluded courtyard in the back of the hotel (room 7 is also in this courtyard). The courtyard is filled with water and you follow a stoned pathway to the room. It was... more

I stayed at the Studio Twin in the Rooftop terrace. The room was small but large enough for two people. It was nicely decorated and really unique. The only problem was the noise from the other guests at the terrace (afternoon and early morning) and buses in the adjacent road behind the hotel. If you are going on a romantic... more
