I have been staying at the Hotel Casa Cristina for nearly 5 years. I have never found a better deal, VERY secure, VERY clean, VERY friendly, the location is wonderful, as it is far enough from the center to be quiet but near enough to walk to quickly. When I am in Antigua (every year), this is ALWAYS my "home... more

We ended up staying at Casa Cristina for four nights as it proved to be a handy base for exploring sights in the region around Antigua. We stayed in the queen room downstairs, which was spacious and clean, and there were hot showers... most of the time. The staff were friendly and speak English and German which helps if your... more

At first glance we were really happy with this hotel, the staff were friendly and the room was cozy. After 2 weeks without a proper hot water shower, it was really nice to have a good shower in a clean bathroom. However, after the first night my friend woke up with ominous looking bites all over her arms. We later... more

We regret the opinion of the person above; we do take our business very seriously and do our best to keep the hotel running in the best possible way. When the person above mentioned that she had an insect bite, we checked the room and the linens. We have cotton white sheets that are sanitized with bleach, and nothing was...

A modest but beatiful place that will be your starting point to discovery the incredible city of Antigua. A very good value for money. The rooms are basic, but clean and confortable. more

I finally found a place in Antigua that I'd go back to! My 2nd floor room was nice and comfy, and was cleaned daily. Enjoyed the cable and the hot water in the bathroom. You have use of a hotel computer to check e-mail, and there's coffee (instant) and sweet breads for guests in the morning. The roof patio was... more

I agree with all the 5 star reviews on this site so won't repeat everything. I stayed in the standard plus room on the 2nd floor with the window to the street one night. Great room, but the only problem was the night guard went outside to smoke his cigarettes and the smoke went up directly into this room. My... more

We stayed in a double room with private bathroom although got upgraded to a volcano view room for free when the guy stopping in the room we were supposed to be in didn't move out in time. Good points: - TV - Hot water in bathroom - Fridge - Clean and quiet (rooster and church bells apart!) - Free internet,... more

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and from booking the room online to arriving, we had a great experience. We stayed in the #12 room and it was perfect for the two of us and indeed had a great view and the room was cleaned everyday. We appreciated the security at the door and they had bread and coffee in... more

Casa Cristina is a great place to stay. It is safe, cheap, clean, comfortable, and well located. The owners are wonderful, and i am surprised to hear ANY negative things about it. A friend and I stayed for 5 days; this is my 8th trip to Antigua and Casa Cristina is quite a find!! We had a lot of "stuff"... more

The hotel is very small and quaint and radiates a special Guatemalan charm. The staff seem happy and really seem to enjoy their guests. The owners go out of their way to be helpful and had endless patience with all of us. Staying there was the best decision of my whole trip. more
