The Yellow House served us the worse on our recent trip by confirming our reservation but not actually keeping it! What a surprise we got when we arrived from Guatemala City at 10 pm, after having called at 8 pm from the airport and being told the room was waiting, to find no room booked for us. I had written... more

We arrived in Antigua and on a suggestion from a fellow traveller made the yellow house our first stop. We have been travelling a while now and did not expect much of any hostel, so we were pleasantly suprised to find such a well kept quiet place to stay. All the hostels in Antigua are around the same price. What... more

Very nice place for travellers, I´d recommend it, especially for the nice HOT SHOWERS & HBO ! Fantastic rooms and courtyard, OK to quite good breakfast included. The staff are really friendly and will help you out if you need anything. There is the reason why the place is always full! So nothing but good words for this hostel! Julie... more

Rooms are clean, bright and pleasant, beds and sheets comfortable although pillows are a little flat. Service is phenonmenal for a hostel, the cooking and cleaning ladies are very hardworking, they make a mean breakfast (included), clean the toilets, windows, floors, kitchen, dishes, make your bed daily and even change the sheets every few days. more

Good deal!

I liked my room at the hostel. It's a good deal. The breakfast is even good too. I wish that the bathrooms were a bit cleaner. The travel agency here is really helpful. more

We were twice in Yellow House! The staff is very friendly. We booked a Pacaya Tour and a shuttle. The breakfast was ok. The location is perfect. Rooms are very nice decorated and clean. It's calm and the bathroom is clean (there are two). It was a perfect stay. Thank you very much! more

This is THE budget place to stay for couples or singles traveling alone. The tranquil alternative to other budget hotels and hostels packed with party animals. Double rooms for $13 including breakfast, water, and free internet. Dorm rooms for $7 including the same. This is also one of the few budget places owned and run by Guatemalans. more
