I found myself in Antigua, quite unplanned. I stayed at Posada Don Valentino. This little hotel was very pleasant, clean, safe and there was plenty of hot water. Also, TWO towels for my shower. Not a four star luxury hotel, but very nice and I would stay there again. more

This is a very clean hotel, with very helpful girls at the desk (Aury and Sara). Three blocks from Central Park, about the same from the market. A large grocery store very close by. You could find better...if you wanted to pay more. This is a nice hotel in a good area. I will be back. more

While we were at the hotel, we booked a trip to Pacaya volcano at 6:00 AM. The shuttle never came. When the girl who ran the front desk arrived at 8:00 AM, she called the tour company and arranged a private shuttle just for the three of us at no extra cost. The staff is great! more

Stayed several nights. Easy access to central, safe areas of city. Kitchen and services readily available. Any issues addressed immediately. Open areas to relax and converse along with room accomodations. Will stau again in future. more

I travel frequently to Guatemala. Don Valentino's is one of my favorite places to stay (the other is Casa Rustica - same owner). If you want to spend a couple of hundred bucks a nite for a suite, this is not your place. If you want a good, clean, safe, comfortable room at a GREAT price, this is your hotel!... more

I loved the location as it is about a block or so away from the market in Antigua. What I hated about the hotel is the noise. There is absolutely no sound barriers for the room. Some annoying American family was clomping around, yelling, and making a racquet in the middle of the night and the owners didn't do anything.... more

This is a very basic small hotel. I didn't feel as comfortable here since the shower, bathroom, floor, bed, and blankets seemed old and not very clean. It had warm water which is basic for Antigua's cold weather, still I feel we could have found a better place. more
