Last year I have made the mistake to book myself a flight for a long weekend in Odessa in Ukraine. I made an even bigger mistake to book myself in a 4 star hotel, instead of a 5 star one. The price was the main reason for this. I ended up paying around 70euro per night. The Hotel I stayed... more

An old, rather DUMPY hotel - with prostitutes sitting in the lobby and on EVERY floor as you exit the elevator! A friend from Odessa told me later that this hotel was also the favorite hotel of prostitutes working the tourists on Deribasovskaya St (the most popular street for natives and tourists in Odessa). Probably the ONLY reason (besides for... more

I liked this hotel. The hotel is in a good position for almost everything you would wish to see or do in Odessa. Close to the famous Privos Market, train and bus stations. Rishelievskaya Street leads straight into town but its a good walk. The room was slightly dated but functional and clean. The bathroom was always kept spotless. The continental... more

I traveled there from the U.S. I had the suite for $172 a night. I have to say, for that kind of money, I expected alot more. With that being said. The room was o.k. There was no flat screen television, which is advertised, the carpet in the room was old, discolored and dirty, the couch was ok, the bed... more

I was pleasantly surprised and entirely happy with my stay here. As a senior traveling alone, I wanted something reliable. The bathroom looked new and was very clean--even had a good hairdryer which my much pricier hotel up in Kiev didn't have. The bedroom with 2 twins was just fine. (I happen to like the very firm beds with their... more

Nothing that I experienced remotely resembled some of the reviews expressed here The front desk personnel is still a bit rough around the edges (the only reason I am scoring this Above Avwerage - else it would have been Excellent) but the room was in very good shape - no breaks, leaks, dead bugs et al. (Room 710). The view... more

My suite was a single suite which is pretty small. The bed isn't very comfortable nor are the sheets. The bathroom is pretty clean but I noticed some bugs crawling around there. Small bugs. The carpet has not been vacuumed or shampooed in a while. It has a mini bar which is a bunch of nuts, water, soda, and some... more

I've been booked a room in Black Sea Hotel by my Ukranian collegues for my visit in Odessa. I looked at previous reviews, and I was a little afraid.. well, I must say that it is a standard hotel, probably not worth 4 stars, but not different from many others I met visiting old russian countries. Check-in was fast (I... more

I spent a week at this hotel and I was very disappointed. The rooms were barely cleaned while I was there. In fact, everyday the towels had a horrible musty smell to them. The room was not vacuumed but once during my stay. Besides the lack of cleanliness the beds are also very uncomfortable, unless you like sleeping on a... more

About a 20 minute walk to the tourist port (where the nicer and pricier hotels can be found), this was not a good deal for the money. The business center was helpful. more
